Affinity Credit Union members achieve new collective agreement – UFCW 1400

Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan – May 16, 2025 – UFCW Local 1400 members working at Affinity Credit Union locations throughout Saskatchewan have recently achieved a new collective agreement bringing improvements to wages, benefits, and contract language.
The new contract brings key changes, including the successful removal of certain employer-proposed language and a commitment that unionized staff will receive the same increases in wages, incentive bonuses, and benefits as their non-unionized counterparts – if those are higher than what is outlined in the collective agreement.
Key highlights of the new agreement include:
- A generous lump sum payment in lieu of retroactivity;
- Wage increases of up to 6.5% for some members to account for missed increases;
- A newly introduced wage grid with progressive increases over the term of the agreement;
- Strengthened contract language that enhances member protections.
Affinity Credit Union is a financial cooperative serving over 130,000 members across Saskatchewan.
