Workers at cabinet manufacturer join union – UFCW 175 & 633

Richmond Hill, Ont. – January 31, 2025 – Workers at Irpinia Kitchens in Richmond Hill, a high-end cabinet manufacturer, have voted to unionize with UFCW Local 175.
The 90+ workers at Irpinia Kitchens joined the union because they wanted better for their colleagues, their workplace and wanted a strong and stable future. Key concerns included job security, seniority, wages, benefits and favoritism.
“An overwhelming majority of workers at Irpinia Kitchens made it clear that they need a dedicated support system to fight for what they deserve,” said UFCW 175 President Kelly Tosato. “This is a strong group of workers and now, as members of Local 175, they can unite with a collective voice with the power to create positive change. I am looking forward to all they will accomplish!”
Members at Irpinia Kitchens work in all aspects of production including panel processing, shipping/receiving, sanding, assembly, spraying, and as specialists, maintenance, and quality control.
