Edmonton Toronto, Ont. – October 30, 2023 – UFCW Local 1006A welcomes its newest members to the union family, as works at Contact Centre Growth Corp have joined the union.

The bargaining unit, also known as Answernet, is composed of 23 workers.

“Union representation is the key to improving your workplace and your livelihood,” said UFCW 1006A  President Wayne Hanley. “Unionization empowers workers to have a voice at work, so they can take an active role in winning rights and improvements. We are proud to welcome our newest members at Contact Centre Growth and look forward to working with them to negotiate their first union contract.

Key issues leading to unionization included wages, treatment, job security and workload. The new bargaining unit, also known as Answernet, is composed of 23 workers.
