Warehouse workers at Kintetsu join the union – UFCW 1006A
Brampton, Ont. – February 10, 2022 – Workers at Kintetsu World Express are the newest members to join UFCW 1006A after a successful organizing campaign that will see over 50 workers from the Brampton, Ontario distribution centre join the union.
“We are very proud to congratulate Kintetsu workers for their unity and determination in accomplishing this victory,” says UFCW 1006A President Wayne Hanley. “We look forward to meeting with these new members and helping them achieve a fair contract.”
The new members work as shipper/receivers, shunters, sanitation, material handlers, fork-lift drivers, and more. Workers organized to put an end to favourtism, improve overtime practices, and gain job security.
