Food processing members at Mondiv - Lassonde secure new contract – UFCW 1991P
Boisbriand, Que. – November 19, 2021 – UFCW 1991-P members at Lassonde Specialties, Mondiv division recently secured a new collective agreement that provides substantial wage increases in addition to many other improvements.
“We are very pleased with the outcome of this new collective agreement for our members at Mondiv,” says UFCW 1991-P President Mario Maisonneuve.
“Through the excellent work of their negotiating committee these workers were able to improve their working conditions while preserving many of the gains negotiated in previous contracts.”
The new contract at Lassonde Specialties, Mondiv division secures wage increases retroactive to December 1, 2020, and sees wages go up by 22.45% over the length of the six-year contract.
The ten quality control members of the specialty soup, sauce, and dip company will also enjoy an additional sick day and statutory holiday; inclusion in the union’s Dental Plan, which is entirely paid by the company; and increased shift premiums; and equipment allowances among other important gains.
