Office members at Scarborough Campus Students’ Union ratify new contract – UFCW 102
Toronto – May 31, 2021 – UFCW 102 members working at the University of Toronto, Scarborough Students’ Union Campus have ratified a new five-year contract with major victories for work-from-home flexibility, sick days, pay increases, and language that protects workers against discrimination and harassment.
“Congratulations to our members at Scarborough Campus Students’ Union for renewing such a strong collective agreement,” says Dominic Musitano, UFCW 102 President. “Especially during this pandemic when paid sick days, annual wage increases, health benefits and safety protections are more important than ever.”
The new contract comes with fifteen paid sick days, work from home emergency protections, three-percent annual wage increases, with an additional two percent based on performance, and strong language that protects members against discrimination, harassment and sexual violence.
