webCampus partners with Conestoga College to launch new Leadership Specialist program
Toronto – July 3, 2020 – UFCW Canada’s ground-breaking online education program, webCampus, is proud to announce an exciting new Recognition of Learning (ROL) program developed in partnership with Conestoga College and available to all UFCW members, family members, and community allies.
As part of our union’s ongoing efforts to provide members and their families with enhanced learning opportunities, UFCW Canada and Conestoga College have collaborated to offer a Leadership ROL credential through the new Leadership Specialist program.
This ROL credential educates students in skills that allow participants to expand and explore the various dynamics of leadership. Graduates of this ROL bring an expanded range of knowledge and perspectives to leadership roles found in a wide range of work environments. By successfully completing 6 requisite UFCW Canada webCampus courses (tuition-free) and 3 Conestoga College courses (tuition applies), participants can earn a Leadership Specialist ROL credential that is recognized by both organizations.
All Conestoga College courses are credit courses and can be applied toward other approved certificates or diplomas. They are also eligible as a tax deduction.
The Leadership Specialist credential is one of many webCampus ROL and certificate programs that UFCW Canada offers in partnership with colleges, universities, and non-profit organizations across the country, including Athabasca University, Brock University, Conestoga College, and the University of Manitoba, as well as the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Workers Health & Safety Centre, and webCampus’ own Certification Program.
