L'Île-Bizard, Que.– November 22, 2018 – UFCW Canada Local 500 members working at IGA in L'Île-Bizard, Quebec have achieved a new collective agreement that comes into effect on January 1, 2019.

The 100 food retail members overwhelmingly ratified their new contract by a vote of 92 percent. Under the agreement, members will see the following improvements:

• A 2 percent wage increase for workers at the top of the pay scale;
• The creation of 6 new regular jobs / positions; and
• Bonuses for checkout supervisors.
