Quebec City – September 11, 2017 – UFCW Canada Local 501 members working at GDI Services in Quebec City have achieved a new collective agreement that runs until December 31, 2020.

The GDI Services members work in maintenance and customer service. Their new three-year agreement features several improvements, including:

• The creation of a new team leader position;

• A $0.50 per hour premium for electrical maintenance workers;

• Improved outdoor work clothing; and

• An 8 percent increase in salary over the duration of the contract.

"We are very happy that members have voted to ratify this strong new contract, which ensures that workers maintain and improve their excellent working conditions," says UFCW Local 501 Eastern Quebec Director Daniel Nadeau.
