UFCW 175 member wins big in “Win with Union Savings” contest

Burlington, Ont. – July 4, 2017 – Amita Ahuja, a proud UFCW Canada Local 175 member who works at Fortino’s in Burlington, Ontario, recently won big through the “Win with Union Savings” contest, a year-long promotional effort designed to raise awareness of Canada’s only not-for-profit, union run, members’ benefit program.

As part of the contest, union members can enter a draw to win monthly cash prizes of $1,000; two Apple iPads; two $500 Visa gift cards; two $500 Canadian Tire gift cards; seven gas cards worth $100 each; and the grand prize giveaway of $10,000. To enter, all you have to do is fill out the form on the "Win with Union Savings" website. The contest runs until October 31.

Sister Ahuja entered the contest and won the cash prize giveaway for the month of May. She was recently presented with a cheque for $1,000 by UFCW Canada Local 175 Secretary Treasurer Kelly Tosato and Union Savings Internal Coordinator Vanessa Hunt, pictured here with Amita.

Union Savings is Canada’s only not-for-profit, union run, members’ benefit program. It offers major discounts on car rentals, insurance, hotels, credit cards, and other consumer products to over 1,000,000 union members across Canada.
