Time to Vote Child Care 2015

Time to Vote Child Care 2015 Toronto – September 10, 2015 – UFCW Canada is calling on activists to add their support to the Vote Child Care 2015 campaign, to make affordable and quality child care a reality for all families. The campaign, in alliance with The Child Care Advocacy Association of Canada, is intended to build support for affordable and quality child care across Canada as a fundamental voting issue in advance of the October 2015 federal election.

Why should working families care about making child care an election issue? Because affordable, high quality child care would:

From September 16-20, 2015, in communities across Canada, activists will be working to keep child care on the federal election agenda. Get involved in the following activities and help push for a national plan for quality affordable child care in this federal election.

September 13 – 20 - Talk it Up for Child Care

The Talk it Up week of action will centre around the I Vote Child Care Pledge.

Through conversations in our local ridings – and with the candidates who are running – our goal for this week is to ask people to sign the I Vote Child Care Pledge.

September 14, 2015 - Grandparent’s Day!

Many grandparents see their children struggling to find quality affordable child care in 2015 the same way that they did years ago. That’s why, this September 14th, Vote Child Care is asking Grandparents from across the country to sign the I Vote Child Care Pledge and to encourage others to do the same.

September 16, 2015 - ART ATTACK

Show off your support for child care that all families can afford by decorating child care centres, offices, cars, doors, windows (and more…as much as possible) with various art projects, chalk drawings, paintings, collages, murals – whatever!
