Toronto – January 12, 2015 – Students deserve support in obtaining their education, and UFCW Canada is proud to assist members and their families with the costs of higher education by providing thousands of dollars in scholarships through the UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship program.

To create more awareness of this renowned union scholarship, UFCW Canada recently held a referral contest that attracted hundreds of additional scholarship applications. Every member who referred an eligible student to apply for a 2014 UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship received a chance to win a brand new Apple iPad.

We are pleased to announce that Stasia Stewart of UFCW Canada Local 1518, and Benjamin Gallacher of UFCW Canada Local 401, have each won an Apple iPad for encouraging others to apply for the 2014 UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship!

"Every year UFCW Canada offers 18 BDM Scholarships worth $1,000 each to active members and their family, and the UFCW BDM Scholarship Contest helps to raise awareness of this valuable union scholarship."
