Workers at European Quality Meats and Sausages in the Greater Toronto Area are the newest members of UFCW Canada Local 175. The 55 new members recently voted to certify and join Canada’s largest private-sector union.

Each year at the 11^th hour on the 11^th day of the 11^th month, we acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of the more than one million Canadian men and women, many of them young, who went to war so that we could live in a peaceful democracy.

More than 300 activists, allies, and UFCW Canada and AWA staff and officers recently gathered in Toronto for the 12th Annual César E. Chávez Black Eagle Awards. The Awards honour long time activists who have carried on the legacy of César Chávez by advancing the cause of justice for agriculture workers.
