Toronto – July 2, 2013 – UFCW Canada activists from Locals 175 & 633 and 1000A once again joined Toronto’s LGBT community and thousands of tourists, families and merrymakers at North America’s largest PRIDE week, held this year from June 21 to 30.
Toronto – June 12, 2013 – Every year Pride is celebrated across the country as one of Canada’s biggest and most colourful annual festivals. It features exciting street fairs, marches, parades, picnics, and concerts. Each event provides an inclusive experience, which is why Pride is a popular attraction among Canadians and thousands of visitors from around the world.
Under clear blue skies, thousands of participants, including Local 1000A staff, members and activists, took to the streets of downtown Ottawa on August 26, 2012 to celebrate the Capital Pride Parade. Decked out in UFCW gold T-shirts, they danced and waved flags as they made their way through the downtown core.
