Washington, D.C. – December 5, 2013 – UFCW Canada National Council President Paul Meinema has been elected Executive Vice President of UFCW International to serve the interests of the membership on the union’s most senior leadership committee.
Washington, D.C. – December 5, 2013 – UFCW Canada Local 1000A president and long-time activist Pearl Sawyer is the union’s newest International Vice President, after being elected unanimously to the UFCW International executive board.
Vancouver – December 4, 2013 – This Friday, December 6, UFCW Canada activists in BC who have been gathering donations over the past months, will join other community members for Vancouver's annual Shoe Memorial. UFCW Canada Local 247 activists, members, and family members generously donated dozens and dozens of pairs of shoes and boots to the Shoe Memorial campaign.
