UFCW Canada gets ready for Toronto Pride Week 2014 – Part 6

Join UFCW at largest-ever Toronto Pride Parade!

Toronto – June 19, 2014 – World Pride 2014 promises to be the largest Pride Week celebration the world has ever seen. It is the first time World Pride will be held in a North American city. On June 29, UFCW Canada invites out members, activists, friends and families to join us in the biggest Pride Parade ever. Up to 2 million people are expected for the 34th Annual Toronto Pride Parade and Canada’s progressive union is ready.

The theme of this year’s celebration is Rise Up World Pride. UFCW Canada activists from across the country will be donning their union gold and marching in the Pride Parade along with our stunning 40-foot float. All members and allies are welcome. Together, we will show our diversity as a union and send a strong message of solidarity, equity and strength as the leading private sector union in the country.

For 2014, let us make history, as we prepare to march the Pride Parade, Dyke March and Trans March on the weekend of June 27-29 in Toronto. Check out our Special drop-in UFCW Event on June 28, at the Sheraton Centre Hotel from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
