New Together Fairness Works webpage and resources at ufcw.ca/fairness

New Together Fairness Works webpage and resources at ufcw.ca/fairnessToronto – October 4, 2013 – UFCW Canada members and activists now have a powerful new resource to fight for Fairness – and to fight back against the growing attack on workers' rights and their unions by Ultra-Conservative parties, politicians and corporate elites.

Just launched, www.ufcw.ca/fairness is an interactive and engaging internet hub that provides activists with facts, infographics, videos, polls, statistics, and common sense talking points you can share with friends, family, neighbours and allies in building a national grassroots movement to stop the
Ultra-Conservative, anti-worker agenda, and to help get the message out that Together Fairness Works.

This new web activist resource (currently only available in English) is just one aspect of a UFCW Canada Together Fairness Works campaign to alert and empower activists as a network of solidarity. As Canada's most progressive private-sector union, UFCW Canada is also a leading partner behind a national Together Fairness Works awareness and advertising campaign now launching on billboards, in social media, and through newspaper ads across the country.

"The Harperites' Ultra-Conservative agenda is a ruthless attack on the rights of everyday Canadians — an assault that is fueled with untruths and unfairness. We have to take Harper, and Hudak, and Wall and the rest of the Ultra-Conservatives head-on, and beat back their anti-worker, anti-community propaganda with the truth. That is what the Together Fairness Works campaign and the new www.ufcw.ca/fairness site are all about," says UFCW Canada National President Wayne Hanley. "Every activist has the power to change things for the better, and by working together and getting the truth out, we can bring back fairness to Canadian workers and their families."

UFCW Canada activists and allies are encouraged to share www.ufcw.ca/fairness, its links, videos, infographics, surveys, and other resources with friends, allies and social networks.
