New webCampus certificate program: Media and Communications Specialist

Toronto – August 26, 2013 – UFCW Canada's groundbreaking education and training program, webCampus, is proud to offer a free new certificate program beginning this fall. The 120-hour Media and Communications Specialist Certificate program trains students in multimedia, web design, and communication skills that can open doors to various roles in marketing and professional communications within the union, businesses, and non-profit organizations.

Course participants will take free online courses incomputer training, media literacy, and Microsoft Word and Excel, and will complete a final research report that identifies the skills they have learned and presents their research in the media and communications field with a union focus. They will also learn how to design their own website or blog, communicate with confidence, and use Windows Movie Maker for dynamic media productions.
