Hospitality workers at Montreal Four Seasons Hotel join the union - UFCW 500

Montreal – October 15, 2019 – UFCW Local 500 is very proud to welcome its new members at the Montreal Four Seasons Hotel and Residences.
More than 250 members working at the Montreal Four Seasons were recently certified as a UFCW 500 bargaining unit by the Quebec Administrative Labour Tribunal.

Backed by the leading union for hospitality, food and retail workers in Quebec, members working at this new, prestigious hotel are confident at achieving a progressive collective agreement that meet the real needs of hospitality workers.

Currently, the new unit’s employee bargaining committee is drawing a list of key objectives and languageheading into negotiations, supported by a solid and experienced union negotiating team. The new members have decided to add their voices to thousands of other UFCW members working in 350 hotels and restaurants across Canada.

“Joining the UFCW gives our members at the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences in Montreal all the tools they need to achieve good working conditions and make progress on their demands,” said Antonio Filato, president of Local 500.  “We are proud to welcome them, and we thank them for their trust in us.”
