Food processing members at Agropur win higher wages – UFCW 1991P

Saint-Damase (Que.) – May 9, 2019 – UFCW Canada Local 1991P members working at Agropur (Damafro) in Saint-Damase, Quebec have achieved a new union contract that provides wage increases and job security.

The new contract improves working conditions for the 100 members working at the dairy processing plant and includes gains in non-monetary benefits as well as wage increases of 9.65 percent over five years.

“I would like to congratulate the members at Agropur (Damafro) for successfully negotiating a strong collective agreement,” says Mario Maisonneuve, President of UFCW Local 1991P. “This new contract will protect jobs and maintain excellent working conditions at the plant.”
