Distillery members at Diageo achieve new contract – UFCW 832

Gimli, Man. – March 6, 2019 – UFCW Canada Local 832 members working at the Diageo Canada distillery in Gimli have ratified a new collective agreement. The more than 50 members at Diageo produce, distill and mature world-famous Crown Royal Whiskey before it is shipped to Ontario for bottling.

Some of the gains achieved in the new contract include 2% wage increases in the first three years of the contract, and 2.5% in the last year.

The contract also brings increases to pension, health and welfare benefits including long-term disability increases, prescription drug increases, paramedical, benefit increases to orthodontic coverage, and increases to bereavement leave.
