More workers at CLS Catering join the union – UFCW 175

Mississauga, Ont. – May 2, 2018 – More workers at CLS Catering are proud members of UFCW after recently voting “Yes!” to joining UFCW Canada Local 175. The 30 new members, based in Mississauga, Ontario, join over 170 CLS Catering workers who proudly call UFCW 175 their union.

The new members work as flight coordinators, checks, and account managers for one of the world’s largest airline caterers.

“These employees felt overworked and underpaid,” says UFCW Canada Local 175 Organizer Amy Tran. “They also saw that their unionized co-workers paid far less for their health benefits and wanted to secure the same kind of rights and improvements that others already enjoyed with UFCW 175,” she adds.
