Pepsi warehouse workers achieve 3-year deal – UFCW 175Sudbury, Ont. – October 30, 2017 – UFCW Canada Local 175 members working at the Pepsi warehouse in Sudbury, Ontario have ratified a new collective agreement.

In addition to monetary and language improvements, the new contract provides an additional full-time run job posting for Sault Ste. Marie.

Wages will increase over the term of the contract by $1.10 per hour. As well, members will receive a lump sum payment of $500 in the first year of the agreement, and another $350 lump sum in the second year. Other monetary improvements provide an enhanced work boot allowance of $175, up from $150.

Language improvements address bereavement entitlement, and the employer will now pay for drivers’ exams and test fees. In addition, the company will contribute $500 per year toward the UFCW Canada Local 175 Training & Education Fund.

The union negotiating committee consisted of UFCW Canada Local 175 members Michael Bernier, Lawrence Bourget, Peter Stafford, and Peter Wasney, and UFCW 175 Union Representative Jeff Barry.
