Members at Olymel ratify new agreement – UFCW 1991P

Saint-Hyacinthe, Que. – June 26, 2017 – UFCW Canada Local 1991P members working at the Olymel plant in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec have overwhelmingly voted in favour of ratifying a new collective agreement.

Members at the Oylmel - Saint-Hyacinthe location have been represented by UFCW Local 1991P for over 40 years.

The new contract contains a number improvements including:

• The creation of a new RRSP program with contributions from the employer;
• Increased employer contributions to the group insurance plan;
• Addition of three floating holidays;
• Improved evening and overnight shift premiums;
• Increased trainer premium;
• Increased vacation pay.
