Workers at Provigo Le Marché join the union – UFCW 500

Montreal ‒ May 18, 2017 ‒ Workers at the Provigo Le Marché store on Avenue des Canadiens in Montreal are the newest members of UFCW Canada Local 500 after saying “YES!” to joining the union.  

The workers at the Avenue des Canadiens location are the 61st group of Provigo employees to join UFCW Canada, which is well known for its expertise in the grocery sector.

“We are proud to welcome the one hundred workers at the Avenue des Canadiens Provigo to our great union,” says Antonio Filato, President of UFCW Canada Local 500.

“By joining UFCW, the Provigo workers have opted for a union that understands their situation, and we look forward to providing outstanding representation and bargaining that meets their unique needs as grocery workers,” he adds.
