New webCampus course for May – Understanding Budgets: What's at Stake

New webCampus course for May – Understanding Budgets: What's at StakeToronto – April 19, 2017 – UFCW Canada's groundbreaking online education program, webCampus, is launching a brand new course for the month of May.

The free online course is being offered in English from April 24 to May 19 and is available to all UFCW Canada members and their family members, as well as our community partners.

The new course is described as follows:

Understanding Budgets: What’s at Stake

Budgeting lies at the foundation of every financial plan. To have a solid grasp of your finances, you need to know where your money is going. Contrary to popular belief, budgeting isn't about restricting what you spend your money on. It's really about understanding how much money you have, where that money goes, and using that information to create a financial plan for the future. This holds true whether we are talking about budgets for households, businesses, or governments.

“Understanding Budgets: What’s at Stake” examines the process that goes into creating a government budget, and explains the concepts underpinning that process to help participants understand one of the largest budgets around – Canada’s federal budget.

Registration for the "Understanding Budgets: What's at Stake" course is now open. To register for this free online course, and to find out more about the webCampus program, visit the webCampus website.
