Workers at iFly Toronto join the union – UFCW 1006A

Oakville, Ont. – June 16, 2016 – Workers at iFly Toronto, an indoor skydiving facility located in Oakville, Ontario, have voted overwhelmingly in favour of joining UFCW Canada Local 1006A.

The ballots were counted on June 10, 2016.

“Union representation is the key to a better future for workers across Ontario, and UFCW Canada Local 1006A is the best choice for workers seeking to achieve fairness, respect, and dignity in their workplace,” says Wayne Hanley, president of UFCW Canada Local 1006A.

“I am proud to welcome the members from iFly Toronto to the Local 1006A family, and I would like to congratulate them on their strength and unity in achieving union representation,” Brother Hanley adds.

UFCW Canada Local 1006A has a strong track record of protecting and improving members’ rights, resolving problems that arise in the workplace, and negotiating strong collective agreements.
