Members at Agropur Natrel achieve new contract - UFCW 1991P
Montreal – May 21, 2015 – UFCW Canada Local 1991P members working at the Agropur Natrel distribution centre in Montreal, Quebec have ratified a new seven-year collective agreement that will expire on October 21, 2021.
The Agropur Natrel members distribute a range of dairy products to numerous retailers in the Greater Montreal area, and have been represented by UFCW Canada Local 1991P for over 25 years. They have gained the following improvements as a result of their new contract:
- An increase in the evening shift premium from $0.45 to $0.60 per hour, and in the night shift premium from $0.58 to $0.70 per hour over the next two years;
- The employer's contribution to the workers' pension plan has been set at 4.75 percent of the regular wage effective immediately;
- Wage increases for the distribution centre operator, the billing controller, and students who have worked more than 2,080 hours.

"This contract is a great example of what can be accomplished when we work together in a spirit of consensus and cooperation," Brother Maisonneuve adds.
