Workers at Maxi & Cie in Drummondville achieve new contract – UFCW 500

Drummondville, Quebec – November 6, 2014 – UFCW Canada Local 500 members working at the Maxi & Cie supermarket – formerly known as Maxi Drummondville – have ratified a new six-year collective agreement. The employees of this Maxi & Cie store located in Central Quebec have been members of Local 500 since the early 1990s.

The new collective agreement includes significant improvements to wages and pensions. As well, the recent Maxi & Cie rebranding has increased the surface area of the supermarket, allowing for the creation of additional departments and, as a result, new full-time and part-time jobs at the store.
