Fort Fraser Petrocan workers vote to join Local 1518!

A new group of workers are the newest members of the UFCW Canada family after recently voting to join Local 1518. The new members work for Tojalomi Enterprises Ltd., a retail food store, gas station, and cafe located in Fort Fraser, B.C. In a vote conducted on September 10th, the workers proudly said “Yes!” to UFCW Canada.

"We are very pleased to welcome the employees from Fort Fraser Petrocan and we are looking forward to representing them to ensure they get the respect and dignity at work that they deserve," says Local 1518 President Ivan Limpright.

"We want to provide these members a real voice at work, and the strong vote shows that they are also excited to join the union and we are eager to begin the collective bargaining process as soon as possible," adds Brother Limpright.

“On behalf of 250,000 UFCW Canada members across the country, we are very happy to welcome the new Tojalomi members to Canada’s leading voice for workers, and we congratulate them on their decision to improve their workplaces and communities through solidarity and collective bargaining,” says UFCW Canada National President Wayne Hanley.
