New webCampus courses starting March 2

UFCW Canada members, their families, and the union’s social justice partners are now free to sign-up for two new webCampus courses.

The two new online courses offered through webCampus are Shelf Management Part 1 (English) and Ergonomics for the Prevention of Musculoskeletal Injuries (French).

Shelf Management Part 1 (English): March 2 – March 28, 2011

This new course looks at the complex system that makes shelf management possible. Shelf Management Part 1 analyses the ordering, warehousing and distribution system that keeps thousands of products on the shelves of retails stores across the country. Topics covered in the Shelf Management Part 1 include:

Ergonomics for the Prevention of Musculoskeletal Injuries (French): March 2 – March 28, 2011

This new course focuses on musculoskeletal injuries (or MSIs) and the importance of ergonomics in preventing painful repetitive strain injuries. Course participants learn how to identify risk factors and protect themselves from MSIs by assessing work-related movements and familiarizing themselves with applicable health and safety legislation.
