UFCW Canada members make Carnaval magic possible

Thanks to the creativity, hard work and skill of UFCW Canada Local 503 members, Quebec’s famous Carnaval recently celebrated another huge success as the world’s largest and most renowned winter festival.

Local 503 represents the sculptors, pattern makers, carpenters and seamstresses who make the magic of Carnaval possible. The artistic bargaining unit also includes the workers who fill the festival’s wonderful costumes, and bring to life Carnaval’s famous characters – like Bonhomme, the iconic mascot, greeter and host.
