Applications by UFCW Canada members or their children for this year’s International Scholarship have just more than a week to be in the mail. Part B of the application, which includes academic transcripts, must be postmarked no later than April 15 (Part A of the application must be completed prior to that in a single online session, including an essay).

Two Canadian scholars will be among those selected, with prizes of up to $8,000 each paid out at $2,000 per year for up to four years of qualifying post-secondary study. The scholarship winners will be selected and awards made on the basis of scholastic achievements, community involvement, and the completion of an essay showing an understanding of the principles of the labour movement.
