Working Together Grant


 Working Together Grant (WTG) is worth $1,000.00 annually. It is given to members or youth committees or youth members that come up with an idea to engage and involve young members in their union. There were five WTGs given out this year:

  1. Local 401 ~ coordinate a joint labour and community arts project.
  2. Local 1400 ~ fund raise for leukemia research.
  3. Local 864 ~ youth member outreach program development.
  4. Local 175 ~ production of a CD rom or video for member outreach.
  5. Local 12R24 ~ youth member outreach program development.

How to apply:

  1. The grant is open to all UFCW Canada members and UFCW Canada Committees.
  2. Applicants must submit a proposal no longer than two pages to the UFCW Canada National Youth Committee.
  3. The proposal must include your name(s), Local(s), idea of the project and why you want to make it happen.
